Glossary Term: PageRank (PR)
Page Rank (PR) is voting system developed by Google. when a web page link to another one, it "casted" a vote to the other web page. The site with more and higher quality votes will likely to receive a higher PageRank. If your web-site is search engine optimized the same way as your competitor. The one with higher PageRank will mostly receive a higher search engine ranking position (SERP). Ultimately, you will receive more organic (free) traffic from search engines. Other search engines use a different voting system, but the theories behind are similar.
