Glossary Term: Relevance

For page attribute, relevance refers to how your page title, meta description and keywords and page content related to each other. If your page content and title has a strong connection between each other, your page will most likely receive a higher score and be index by search engines.

For linking attribute, relevance refers to how you and the site link to you are related. If a manufacturing factory web-site links to a wedding site, chances are, that link will not receive a high score. The advantage of web directory has is, all the sites are categorized. So each link to the destination site will most likely to have a higher relevance score. In result a higher quality link.
